Shergarh, Mardan
Shergarh () pronounced "sheyr Garh", is a town located 12 km from Takht Bhai, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Its name literally means "home of the lions".〔(Shifting Sher Garh )〕 Sher Garh is now a Union Council of the Takht Bhai Tehsil of Mardan District. It falls in the NA-10 seat of the National Assembly's Electoral Process.〔"The Election Commission, Government of Pakistan.〕
==History==
The town is very old, in fact, some historians cite that it can be traced back to the 13th century. It an important point in the trade routes passing between Peshawar and Swat. Under Buddhist rule, a town existed at the same location, but had a Buddhist name.
In shergarh there is present the famous dar ul uloom named Islamia Arbia Shergar was built in 1951.THE founder of this darolum was muhtamim maolana mohammad ahmad who take aducation from dar ul uloom dew band(india).Land for Darolum was donated by Malik Azeem Khan F/O Malik Ubaid Ullah Khan (Baidul Malik) Landlord and political figure of Shergarh.
